The use of a Chain Mooring Bridles stabilises the anchor chain on catamarans and monohulls reducing the strain on the windlass when the vessel is at anchor (particularly in heavy sea conditions).
Having two points of attachment for the anchor chain reduces the chance of the vessel rotating or swinging back and forth and over loading the single cleat attachment as can occur on a single line attachment.
A stainless safety shackle removes the chance of chain slippage when vessel is pulling or releasing tension on the chain.
Manufactured from corrosion resistant marine grade stainless steel ensures the durability of the Mooring Bridles.
Designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia for harsh Australian conditions.
Primarily designed for use on catamarans to distribute the anchor load on each hull.
8mm Plate Construction and dimension: P/No. YCGP8
- Included with the chain grip plate is a 6mm stainless steel locking shackle to prevent the chain becoming loose during changes in the wind or tide.
- Made from corrosion resistant grade 316 Stainless Steel – 8mm thick
- Features include 17mm holes on each side to allow fitment of two 16mm (5/8”) stainless steel bow shackles, thus enabling attachment of lines to port andstarboard (shackles not included).
Suitable for short & long anchor chain sizes:
- Imperial 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16” & 1/2”
- Metric 8mm, 10mm & 12mm
